Using a large orbital sander on a deck floor.

When stain strippers and orbital sanders won't remove a tough stain, using a grinder is a great and fast option.
Sanding deck ballusters.
This is the least expensive method of sanding ballusters that will consume the more time.
However, it is recommended to start out learning hand sanding to fully understand what machines can do.

Deck floor sanding with belt sander.
If you don't have access to a larger floor sander or you want to save money, belting sanding would be an option for any DIY.

Excellent staining techniques can be learned here. This is how every wood deck floor should be stained.
However, we have a strong opinion on their use of products for this particular lumber and would not recommend it.

Fence Staining
